Play2Video Ultra is for cars with factory wired CarPlay. Not sure if your car supports wired CarPlay? Connect your iPhone to the car's USB port using a cable. If there are multiple USB ports, use the one intended for phone connection rather than a charge-only port. If CarPlay appears on your factory screen, your vehicle is compatible.
- Cars that support only wireless CarPlay and have no wired CarPlay are not compatible.
- Cars that support only wired Android Auto and have no wired CarPlay are not compatible.
- On some models, wired CarPlay is only confirmed on higher trim levels, so check your own car with the cable test above.

Is this Ottocast product compatible with my car?
Most Ottocast products are designed for vehicles (typically 2016 or newer) with factory wired Apple CarPlay and/or factory wired Android Auto. ✅ For this product: wired CarPlay only. ❌ Android Auto is not supported (wired or wireless). This product is a wired-to-wireless adapter and must be plugged into a USB data port (not a charge-only port). If I've paired two phones, which one will it connect to next time?
If multiple paired phones are nearby, it will usually reconnect to the last used phone. To switch devices, disconnect CarPlay on the current phone (or turn off its Bluetooth/Wi-Fi), then connect with the other phone. Some models also support one-tap switching or manual device selection.
Can I use Netflix in split-screen mode on this product?
Netflix split-screen playback is not available on this product.
What apps come preinstalled on Play2Video Ultra, and which ones can't be removed?
Play2Video Ultra comes with Netflix, YouTube, IPTV and Prime Video preinstalled. Some essential system components (e.g. connectivity and updates) are required for normal operation and are typically not removable. You can also add more apps via App Hub.

Play2Video Ultra is upgraded for faster, smoother performance with dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and FOTA over-the-air updates (via the OttoPilot app). It supports wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, comes with pre-installed streaming apps plus an App Hub, and supports USB offline/local media playback for music and videos.
How many extra apps can I install, and how do I install them? What apps are included?
You can install up to 5 extra apps from App Hub (in addition to the preloaded apps). To install or replace: App Hub → choose an app → Install. To swap later: App Hub → Manage → replace an installed app. Preloaded apps (may vary by region/firmware): TikTok, TikTok Lite, torne®mobile, ARD Mediathek, VKVideo, LINE MUSIC, Joyn, DAZN, U-NEXT, Tubi, RTL+, Кинопоиск. Popular in the US: TikTok, Tubi, DAZN.
Can I move it between two cars?
Yes. Just unplug it and use it in another compatible vehicle. In the new car, you may need to re-pair your phone or do a quick first-time setup.
