Yes. We recommend calibrating the scale each time the feeder is disassembled and reassembled. The scale supports a maximum load of 7.5 kg (16.5 lb), helping ensure accurate food tracking and gram-level consumption insights.
The maximum is 6 portions per dispense. One portion is approximately 20 ml or 10 g (0.4 oz), which is about 1/12 cup.

No. The Granary 2 Series is designed for dry kibble only. For best performance, kibble should be between 2 mm and 15 mm (0.1–0.6 in) in size. Oversized or irregularly shaped pieces, such as cubes larger than 9 mm (0.4 in) or crescent-shaped kibble, are not recommended.
A full hopper can last approximately 30 days based on a typical 5 kg (11 lb) adult cat eating around 80 g (2.8 oz) of dry food per day. Actual duration will vary based on factors such as kibble type, environment, and your pet's breed, age, health and eating habits. The Petlibro app tracks hopper levels and alerts you when food is running low.
We recommend replacing the desiccant every 14 days to help maintain food freshness. Two desiccant bags are required at a time.
The Granary 2 food tank is designed to help resist moisture and pests, though it is not a fully airtight enclosure. For best results, we recommend using FD002 desiccant packs and replacing them regularly to help maintain food freshness.

Granary 2 provides up to 24 hours of backup battery life during a power outage. Granary 2 Vision and Granary 2 X provide up to 48 hours. The battery is designed for emergency backup use only and is not intended as a primary power source. During a power outage, Wi-Fi connectivity, camera functions, pet recognition and feeding schedules will continue to operate normally. Battery performance was measured under Petlibro laboratory conditions; actual results may vary.
Yes. If the feeder goes offline, remote control through the app will be unavailable, but feeding schedules will continue to run automatically. Granary 2 X can also continue performing pet recognition and automatic lid operation directly on the device.
Yes. Granary 2 X performs pet recognition directly on the device, so the lid can continue to open and close normally even when the feeder is offline.
Granary 2 X supports both recognition mode and manual mode. During the adjustment period, you can manually control the lid to help your pet become familiar with the feeder. For pets that need more time to adapt, you can enable Always Open mode. In this mode, the lid remains open and closes only when a non-designated pet approaches.
Granary 2 X combines AI pet recognition with a motorized lid that opens only for the assigned pet. Side panels around the feeding area also help limit access and shield from other pets. For best performance, we recommend creating a profile for each pet using clear photos from multiple angles to improve recognition accuracy.
The Granary 2 X entrance is approximately 15 cm (5.9 in) wide with an interior depth of 17.8 cm (7.0 in). The opening was carefully designed to balance comfortable access for the designated pet while maintaining effective feeding access control. Based on testing, pets can comfortably enter and exit the feeding area without becoming stuck.

Granary 2 is available in a single-bowl configuration only. Granary 2 Vision can be used with either a single-bowl or dual-bowl setup using compatible accessories. Granary 2 X uses its own dedicated feeding base and personalized feeding system.
Only the stainless steel bowl and bowl holder are washable. Do not rinse or submerge the area beneath the bowl holder, as it contains electronic components. If cleaning is needed, wipe the area gently with a damp cloth and allow it to dry completely before use.
Granary 2 can be used on most common flooring surfaces, including many types of carpet. However, for the most accurate weight measurements, we recommend placing the feeder on a flat, stable surface. Avoid thick, soft or uneven carpet that sinks noticeably under pressure, as this may affect weighing accuracy.
In Smart Refill Mode, the built-in scale continuously monitors how much food remains in the bowl. When food drops below your selected threshold, the feeder automatically dispenses more food while staying within your configured daily limit. Love the upgrades. I purchased the wet food and the Granary camera feeder when they first came out, and now I just purchased a second set because I have a new pet. I noticed the changes right away and the upgrades in the new machines. The temperature control is much better in the wet food feeder, and I love all the features of the new camera dry food feeder.
I love this feeder! The only issue I have is that I tried to add 5 kittens and it wasn't working well. The kittens didn't stay long enough to get their recognition photos, so I just have one and it says she is eating all the time. It's awesome to know how often someone comes to eat. I like the option of smart feeding or schedule feeding. I also really like the design.
