Meet XTAPE1, the world’s first 3-in-1 modular measuring system. It combines a digital tape, laser distance measure and green alignment laser. Swap the tape module when the job calls for a different scale or when it needs replacing.

Use the 330 ft laser for room layouts, outdoor distances and hard-to-reach spots. For close work, the 2 in. IPS display gives a real-time digital tape reading without relying only on blade markings.
Measure, align and adapt
Change the tape module in about three seconds without tools or screws. A worn module can be replaced without discarding the whole device.
Super OptiTracking™ supports measuring in demanding environments. The tape is specified at ±1/32 in. accuracy and the laser at ±1/16 in. accuracy; the tool is presented for use around rain, dust and worksite conditions.
The green laser projects an alignment line for shelves, tile and layouts, including indoor light and outdoor glare. Direct sunlight can affect laser measuring performance.
Point-to-point mode measures the straight-line distance between two locations from one position, including diagonal and inaccessible spans.

Yes. The display supports mm, cm, m, ft, in. and fractional inches.
What is the benefit of the green laser alignment?
The green laser line improves visibility and alignment over longer distances, including brighter settings.
Can it measure inaccessible areas?
Yes. The laser measures without contact up to 330 ft for hard-to-reach areas.
What is the memory capacity?
The device stores up to 30 measurement records for quick reference.

My XTAPE1 seems to have a 3mm gap in the tape hook. Is it defective?
No. About 3 mm of controlled hook movement supports accurate readings in both hook and push positions.
Why does the XTAPE1 use a modular, replaceable tape design?
The replaceable tape module can be changed without replacing the device and lets you use a different tape length or type.
The laser level turns on automatically when I power up the XTAPE1. Is that normal?
Yes, with the default rear-reference setting. To keep the laser off until you activate it, choose the front baseline in settings.
I’m worried the laser measurements might be inaccurate. What should I do?
Use the Offset function in settings to fine-tune the measurement baseline if you notice a deviation.
I am unable to pair my new XTAPE1 with the app. It sees the device, starts pairing, and then fails. What should I do?
Check that Bluetooth is on, the device is powered and the app is current. The step-by-step pairing tutorial covers common problems.
Can I use the laser module and tape module separately for measurements?
Yes, but long-term separate use is not recommended because dust or sawdust can enter the connectors and affect accuracy or damage the device.
If the XTAPE1 can switch units internally, why are there different tape modules for metric and imperial?
The screen changes units, while a dedicated metric or imperial tape gives you matching physical markings for the job.
Can this unit measure in decimal feet? This is a job requirement for me.
Yes. XTAPE1 supports decimal feet.
When Xtape1 split will be released?
The Split version is available for purchase.
How is this product if it falls ?
XTAPE1 is drop-tested to 1.5 m (about 5 ft) for everyday bumps and drops.
